The Man That Dreams
There is a man that dreams, they last forever and are hopeful.
He is never able to get up onto his feet yet he still dreams of living in a grand house with a wife and a couple of children.
He is never able to keep his stomach full yet he still dreams of a bountiful cornucopia to share among all that hunger and all that he cares for.
He is never able to prevent the fights for the few resources around him yet he still dreams of clothing, shelter, and medical care for those he lives amongst.
He is never able to fight off the frigid temperatures of the arctic or the arid oven temperatures of the desert yet he still dreams of having comfort.
He is never able to leave his small box under an underpass yet he still dreams of the day he’ll walk away from his box to explore the world beyond the small ghetto of the cramped city.
He still dreams.
