Water and Land

Wave rising like a predator sizing up their prey
After spotting them in a field of a dozen copies of the sad, meek animal.
To the predator, somehow, this small, shy animal has potential to be useful
Exactly like how the sandy coast is somehow useful to the
Regal, all consuming salty water.

After the wave sizes up the sand, it
Noisily crashes against it, turning the
Dark water the same color as when a white-winged dove lifts their wings.

Later, when the wave settles, it fizzles
And falls back into the surrounding water,
Not so different from a zebra falling back into it’s group
Directly after narrowly escaping death.
