Falling
The sky is falling,
Tick Tock Tick Tock…
Here, afar, over there,
everywhere, it falls, OH IT FALLS.
Yet I stood still with eyes closed
amidst this uproaring world.
I smelled rain pounding on doorsteps,
inviting pond to perform lively taps.
Those pouring tears of heaven
tries to submerge me.
Yet I stood still with eyes closed
amidst this uproaring world.
I saw wind roaring its intense chase
testing trees to salute to their last stand,
like almost-tangible lighting threads
they weave a net over my entity.
Yet I stood still with eyes closed
amidst this uproaring world.
I heard panic, I heard strides,
steps of souls swarming aimlessly;
I heard genuine curses beneath dirty prayers,
prayers in vain to sky’s dulling grievance.
Yet I stood still with eyes closed
amidst this uproaring world.
