While most have already left for winter break, a few of our sports teams will be competing over the holiday. These teams include Varsity boys basketball, winter track, and wrestling.
Boys Basketball:Coming off of a six-game winning streak, the Varsity boys basketball team looks to perform well over break. Their first game is December 14th against Loomis Chaffee. This will be a true test for the Bucs, as Loomis is a perennial New England powerhouse. On December 16th, the team faces off against Christian Brothers Academy before heading home. Hopefully boys basketball can keep their momentum up as they move into January.
After weeks of training, our winter track team looks forward to their first set of competitions over break. On December 16th and 17th, the team will head out to the on Staten Island. The runners hope to start the season off on the right foot at their first meet. The team will also head out to the Jim Mitchell Invitational on December 22nd. Good luck to all the runners competing in New York City over break!
Wrestling will be competing throughout the northeast at the Neptune Classic, Tony Iasiello Christmas City Tournament, Beast of the East, and in a duel against Delbarton. Coming off of a decisive victory at Ironman, the wrestlers look to continue their successes. Beast of the East will be especially important, as it is considered one of the toughest high school wrestling tournaments in the county. The wrestling team will also train hard over break to prepare for the second half of their season and Prep Nationals.
Good luck to all Bucs competing over break!
