Putting the Tire in Satire

It is every 16-year-old’s dream to be behind the wheel of a car with total freedom. However, to someone who doesn’t even have a learner’s permit, it seems as though the aforementioned dream is impossible. Fortunately, if you have an instructor like mine (half asleep and who just wants to go home), you can get away with a lot–like going 75 miles per hour on the highway with the occasional, “Oh god, please slow down,” or the rare, but not unheard of, “Oh lord, you’re gonna kill us if you don’t slow down.” And if that doesn’t get your engine revving, head to the nearest QuickChek, pick up some lotto tickets, veer off the road to hit squirrels, and sing along to songs from High School Musical.
