Nightfall

“Nightfall”

The waves crash,
Then return,
The embers fade,
With nothing to burn,
The trees stand still,
The wind blows no more,
Beasts lie to rest,
On the woods’ mossy floor,
The sun does set,
The moon does rise,
Far above,
The earth’s resting eyes.
