Jenna Park, a four year senior at Blair, is a veteran on The Oracle team. She started writing for The Oracle her sophomore year and she loves that she gets to write about topics she is passionate about. She also enjoys editing her peers’ work. The first time she stepped on the Blair campus, she knew that it was the perfect place to spend her high school years because she loved its beauty and bright atmosphere, and the friendliness everyone exuded.
In her free time, she sings and plays the violin. Music is a major part of her life, which is why she joined the Blair Singers and Orchestra. She loves all types of music, ranging from Queen to Tchaikovsky and her favorite class is Singers because she loves the positive energy of everyone in her choral family.
When Jenna is not in class or writing for The Oracle, she likes to get a bite to eat at Dale’s Market, hang out in the Can with her friends, and sing with her peers in the a cappella group.
One of the things that I find especially incredible about Jenna is that she is a co-leader of a group called La Conexión. Every Wednesday she and other members of the organization tutor young students in a nearby elementary school in Newton. Due to the Coronavirus, the trips have been put on hold, but she tries to connect with the kids as often as she can.
This year, she is most looking forward to Blair’s annual school spirit events like the Headmaster’s Games and the Game, and she hopes they can occur in some form even under the current circumstances. She also really hopes to have a graduation and a Prom even if she has to social distance and wear a mask.
