Color Out Follow Up

Blair’s Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA)-hosted Color Out at the Boys’ Varsity basketball team’s season opener on Wednesday, November 28, was a huge success. Click here for more on GSA and the the national nonprofit the True Colors Fund that the event benefited.

The bleachers in the Performance Gym were packed with enthusiastic students, faculty, and parents. GSA member’s painted rainbows on supporters’ cheeks at the doors as they entered. Small packs of rainbow skittles, necklaces, and stickers were sold at the entrance, too, to raise more funds and boost the festive mood and demonstrate support for LGBTQ+ rights.

T-shirts, custom-made for the event, were given as prizes to the spectators who cheered with the most spirit, donated the most, or were dressed most festively.

Keep an eye out for more to come from GSA about Day of Silence and more opportunities to get involved in the cause.
