Cindy Pierce Visits Blair

Blair Academy has once again invited Cindy Pierce to speak to our students and faculty. Ms. Pierce focuses on bringing awareness to teens and young adults on the topic of healthy sexual behavior, through performing her one-woman comedy show. By combining real-life issues, humor, and research, she discusses the issues that come up in our social media-driven society. She grew up being fully immersed into co-ed athletic teams while also being the youngest of seven siblings, which exposed her to the stereotypes that teens have to face regularly. This will be Pierce’s third visit to Blair in four years. As her website says, she aims to give perspective and information to help navigate cultural, media and peer pressures around social and sexual relationships. These topics are always relevant and something that the school wants to support conversations about. She is the author of SEXPLOITATION: Helping Kids Develop Healthy Sexuality in a Porn Driven World and co-author of Finding the Doorbell.

Here is the schedule for Ms. Pierce’s visit next week:

Monday, October 29th 7:00 pm-8:15 pm, Juniors and Sophomores:  Armstrong-Hipkins DuBois Theater
