The Blair Academy Boys Basketball team traveled to Florida yesterday, and will take on the No. 1 team in the country, Montverde Academy. This will be Blair’s toughest test in years, as Montverde has been one of the nations most consistent/best high school basketball programs. To get you prepped for today’s game, here is a recap of their season to date:

Midway through the season, the Blair Academy Boys Basketball team sits at 11-4, also with an undefeated record in the MAPL, (4-0).

Leaders Kodye Pugh ’17 and Deng Gak ’17 provide rare size and give a physical boost to the team offensively. Junior guard Matt Turner continues to be a lethal, outside shooting threat and an outstanding facilitator on offense. Jack Rauch, a senior, has been a terrific leader for this year’s team.

Coach Mantegna has done a tremendous job this season coaching six new players. His team plays hard, together, and is an unselfish bunch.

Update: Blair was also scheduled to travel to St. Benedict’s on Wednesday, however, it was postponed to due conflict as they played Coastal Academy instead.
