Boys Lacrosse in Florida

FLORIDA – I am sure every Blair Buccaneer found themselves having a fun, yet productive, time this spring break; I know the boys lacrosse team did. March 15th the team headed down to Disney for a week of practices and scrimmages to prepare for the upcoming season. Our team knows how to work hard, but we also know how to play hard. After our intense practices in the hot Florida sun, we were able to find the time to enjoy what Disney World had to offer, from park rides to great cuisine. Of course, the purpose of the trip was to improve our skills as lacrosse players, and we did just that. At the end of the week three scrimmages were scheduled against other teams looking to improve over the preseason, and we found that our hard work had paid off; we won two out of the three matches (maybe a result of Thomas Jenkins’ ‘18 lethal face dodges). The final night of our trip, the team had a fabulous dinner in the German themed village and restaurant at Disney’s EPCOT park. We had a great time eating schnitzel and listening to a German accordion band while looking forward to the season ahead. That season is finally upon us. Wish us luck at our first game as we play Pennington this Saturday!
