Waves to Music

Waves to Music

by Tim Johns

Headphones in, volume up

We are engulfed by the sound of music

As if a wave has just crashed over us

Everything on the outside seems to fade away

As the blissful noise rushes over us like cool waters of the ocean

Putting us into a tube of sound we don’t want to escape

If only the tube lasted forever

But the wave will soon pass over us

Then the next wave will take over us like the next song on the playlist

And we could just stay within the waves forever

Because the waves of music block out all the troubles of the outside world

And for a moment, all that troubles us is the wave of music around us
